One Earth Film Festival

We Are Born Into This—We Are Here to Love It:

If you want an adventure, boy, what a time to choose to be alive. Don't waste time and self pity over darkness.
Don't waste time trying to figure out better circumstances that you might like.
You're born into this, and you're here to love it, and to see that it goes on.

These words are from the Buddhist scholar, writer, and ecologist Joanna Macy as she speaks to us from a film called: The Wisdom to Survive. This film will be shown at Unity Temple on at 6:30 p.m. at the conclusion of the fourth annual ONE EARTH FILM FESTIVAL.  Your Unity Temple Green Team is proud to be a sponsor of this event. A discussion of the film and festival will follow the screening, with a reception sponsored by Native Foods Café to follow in Unity House. For more information: stop by the UTCAN table at Coffee Hour, and talk with a Green Team member or with questions. The ONE EARTH FILM FESTIVAL has grown in reach and creativity. We are happy to be part of this community-wide inspirational, educational film festival.

Panel discussion following the film to include: Doug Sisterson, Master of Science in Atmospheric Sciences.  Argonne National Laboratory's senior manager for the Department of Energy's Climate Research Facility; and Bridget Sperduto,  Executive Director of The Well Spirituality Center. The Center is committed to strengthening, healing and calling forth the inherent wholeness of Earth, our human community and all creation. Thomas Berry has deeply influenced their focus.

Billed as 40 inspirational films, 30 venues, one dynamic weekend, the ONE EARTH FILM FESTIVAL 2015 returns for its fourth year Friday to Sunday, March 6-8.  For a list of the films, their venues, and ticket cost, go to
