Earth Day Gardening Celebration

Help us HONOR THE EARTH by getting dirty in the garden with your kids! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about urban gardening and what we can grow here in Oak Park! There are many spring garden projects to tackle. The main project will be to install fencing around the Children's Garden Plot and to transplant native plants to create a corridor for the Monarch butterflies and other pollinators. Also, native plants are ready to go in the ground, and the herb garden needs it's spring clean up. There are many fun jobs for kids of all ages. All materials needed will be on hand but prepare for dirt and wear proper shoes for digging. Work gloves are optional.

The garden can be accessed through the alley behind the The Buzz. The Cafe is open for lunch until 3 p.m.

A huge thank you to the EcoStewards for hosting this wonderful event! RSVP to
