Martin Luther King Day Celebration

What better way to honor Dr. King’s legacy than to celebrate in the civil rights tradition and take action for justice with those marginalized in society. Hundreds of people of faith from around the Chicago area will join together to call on area decision-makers to expand opportunities for immigrants and ex-offenders, reduce gun violence, and more equitably fund education. Plan to join 100 of your friends from Unity Temple in standing—and singing—for justice! The event runs from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at First Baptist Congregational Church (1613 W Washington in Chicago); we’ll meet at Unity Temple at 9:00 am and head over by bus and train, returning around 1 p.m. For more information, contact Scott Aaseng at [email protected].
