Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
UnityTemple is well represented in Thanksgiving Interfaith Service!
From diverse religious traditions, our congregations come together once a year to celebrate and give thanks. This year, Ascension Catholic Church will host a service entitled "One Human Family Thanking God" on Sunday, November 20, at 7 p.m.
Members of the Unity Temple Choir and Chalice Singers will be performing. Unity Temple Music Director Marty Swisher will conduct the Interfaith Children's Choir—which includes children from the Unity Temple, Oak Park Temple, Grace Episcopal and Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church--and Ascension Church Music Director David Anderson will lead the adult choir.
During the service, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and other clergy will inspire us. Rabbi Robin Damsky of West Suburban Temple Har Zion will deliver the keynote sermon. We invite you to attend the service in support of our singers and be a part of this wonderful gathering of the Oak Park interfaith community. Come sing, pray and reflect with us, and then get to know your neighbor better at the reception following the service. Ascension is located at 808 S. East Ave. in Oak Park.
