Tuesday Reflections in the Temple
Come to Unity Temple on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for 45 minutes of centering. Each week, Rev. Taylor leads a short structured reflection focusing on a different theme. For some, this is a weekly opportunity to wind down a stressful day. For others, it is a time to drop in prior to a committee meeting. For still others, it is the support for a personal journey of spiritual practice. For free childcare during Tuesday Reflections, contact childcare@unitytemple.org at least one week in advance. Be a Summer Service Leader:
A Call for Proposals
The summer services team seeks proposals from members or friends interested in leading a Sunday worship service between July 1 and Sept. 2, 2012. Your proposal should include:
a) Title for your service.
b) Summary of your message.
c) Description of your ideas for the service. (What will you talk about, do, or present? What’re your thoughts on readings, music?)
d) Brief explanation of your motivation for leading the service. (What interests you about the topic? What do you hope the congregation will get out of the service?)
e) Schedule of summer Sundays that you are available
If you want help in planning a service or selecting music or readings, please talk to Summer Minister Scott Aaseng. Email your proposal to saaseng@unitytemple.org or drop a paper copy in Scott's mailbox. Deadline for submitting proposals is May 11. The team (Bonnie Jordan, Ken Hooker, and Scott Aaseng) will review proposals in mid-May and select an inspiring mix of lay- and minister-led services.
